The Charlottetown Islanders have made it back to back wins for the first time this season.
The Isles got by the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, 4-3 in a shootout with Keith Getson providing the winner.
Sam King had two goals and Adam Marsh also scored in regulation. The Islanders improve to 3-6-1.
Charlottetown also won 2-1 in Bathurst on Friday night.
Halifax bounced Cape Breton, 9-2. Moncton edged Saint John, 3-2.

The Summerside Western Capitals stopped the Pictou County Crushers, 5-2 in the MHL
Hunter McIntyre with a 2 goals and an assist. TJ Shea scored twice.
The Caps now 5-4-1. They host Edmundston tonight at 6.00.

The UPEI men’s Panthers lost 6-2 in Fredericton to UNB. The Varsity Reds improve to 4-0. Chris Clapperton scored twice on the power play.
Kameron Keilly got his 3rd goal. The rookie has 11 points in four games. Marcus Power scored his 5th. The Panthers are 2-2.

The women’s Panthers lost 2-1 in overtime to Saint Mary’s in their home opener. Laura Polak had the OT winner and an assist. Kaylee Dufresne scored for UPEI. The Panthers have two 1-gaol losses.

Auston Matthews scored twice including the overtime winner as the Toronto Maple Leafs edged the Montreal Canadiens, 4-3 in overtime.
The Leafs are 4-1. Montreal has lost four of five.
Sidney Crosby had two goals in Pittsburgh’s 8-2 romp over Washington.
Boston doubled Arizona, 4-2.
The New Jersey Devils got by the NY Islanders, 3-2. Drew Stafford with the winner.
Chicago trimmed Nashville, 2-1 in overtime.

The LA Dodgers won the opener of the NLDS as they stopped the Chicago Cubs, 5-2. Yasiel Puig had a homer and 2 RBIs.
