The president of the Prince County Fishermen’s Association says lobster landings for the fall season on P-E-I are on par with last year.
Lee Knox says the difference is that the price per pound has dropped by nearly two dollars compared to 2016.
Knox says the lower prices this fall may in part be due to the value of the Canadian dollar and a shift in market demand.
He says fishermen are hoping for a price adjustment once buyers and processors move their inventories.
