A big comeback win for the UPEI Panthers in hockey. UPEI trailed the Moncton Blue Eagles, 4-1 after one period but stormed back for a 7-6 overtime victory over the hometown Aigles Bleu.
Former Charlottetown Islander, rookie Kameron Keilly had a goal and three assists.
Darcy Ashley tied the game late in the third. He had two goals. Marcus Power won the game in OT with his second. The Panthers are 1-1.

Charlottetown Islanders head coach Jim Hulton says the positives outweighed the negatives as the Isles fell 6-5 in overtime to unbeaten Quebec in the Q. The Islanders were down 5-2 but came back to send the game to OT. Adam Marsh and Keith Getson with two goals each. The Islanders scored four power play goals. Ben Gagne had two for the Remparts which included the winner in OT at 4.47. The Islanders have six losses in seven games.

The Summerside Western Capitals have four straight wins in the MHL. The Caps dropped Amherst, 8-6. Jordan Spence scored a hat-trick. TJ Shea and Brodie MacArthur had two goals each. The Caps are 4-3.

Alex Ovechkin set an NHL record becoming the first player in history to have hat-tricks in the first 2 games of the season. He scored four as Washington ran over Montreal, 6-1.
Toronto had a 5-2 lead in the first and then held on for an 8-5 win over the NY Rangers. Zach Hyman with two goals for the Leafs.
Las Vegas is 2-0. James Neal scored his second game winner as the Golden Knights edged Arizona, 2-1 in overtime.

Vancouver got by Edmonton, 3-2.
Chicago stopped Columbus, 5-1.
Pittsburgh blanked Nashville, 4-0.
Calgary doubled Winnipeg, 6-3.

Bryce Harper launched a 2-run homer and Ryan Zimmerman blasted a 3-run shot in the 8th as the Washington Nationals came back to beat the Chicago Cubs, 6-3 in the NLDS which is tied, 1-1.
