A delegation from the Charlottetown Chamber will get a chance to hear from and question the Federal Finance Minister about Ottawa’s proposed tax changes.
The delegation will be at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce annual meeting in Fredericton, NB this weekend, and Minister Bill Morneau has agreed to be there and address the meeting.
The Chamber is concerned about the impact the proposed changes would have on small and medium-sized businesses, and President Rory Francis wants to hear from Morneau. Francis says that, to be blunt, Morneau has a lot of explaining to do.
Francis says they expect nothing less than Morneau saying that the Trudeau Government will be withdrawing its tax plan.
Island Chambers have joined forces in opposition to the proposed tax changes, saying they punish small business and discourage entrepreneurship.
