On Tuesday, for the first time ever, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities are hosting the Jumpstart Games in Charlottetown for 200 young Islanders.
The participants are from Go! Recreation PEI, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wellington, Charlottetown and Summerside. The games help the kids be active, and develop friendships and healthy lifestyles. In the Jumpstart games, they’re taking part in lots of fun activities inand around the Simmons Sports Centre.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities help kids aged 4-18, from families in financial need, take part in organized sports.
In 2016, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities provided over $90-thousand to help 873 kids in PEI get off the sidelines and into the game.
