The Kinkora Fire Department had to put out a cube truck fire that was ablaze just off Route 1A in Bedeque on Friday morning.
The call came in around 11.00. The truck was parked on a driveway at a farm.
There were no injuries but dark black smoke could be seen for miles around.
Deputy Fire Chief Grant Desjardin says firefighters got the blaze under control quickly.
The truck was carrying diesel fuel which made the scene even more dangerous.
The provincial Environment Department also attended the scene as did Maritime Electric after damage to nearby power lines resulted.
