At the Canada Games on Wednesday, the PEI women’s softball team played an outstanding game Wednesday afternoon against a tough BC team. It was a heartbreaker, though. After 7 innings, the teams were tied at 4 and went to extra innings where BC was able to score 6 runs, and PEI could muster only 4. BC won it 10-8.
Earlier in the day, the PEI girls lost 8-4 to Manitoba.
The women’s volleyball team lost to Manitoba and Saskatchewan, while the men’s team fell to BC.
In wrestling, in the morning draw, PEI’s men’s team took on Saskatchewan with two out of four wrestlers winning their match while the fifth wrestler didn’t have an opponent in that weight class. The females lost all three of their bouts to British Columbia,
During the afternoon session BC beat the PEI men’s team while Ontario defeated the female wrestlers. In the evening bouts, the PEI male wrestlers defeated the Nunavut team.

PEI also had some fine operformances in the pool again.
