The rain we are getting today is much welcome by farmers across the province.
It will also help your lawn and garden which have been affected by over two weeks of very dry weather.
The last downpour of rain came on July 21st during evening and overnight thunderstorms.
Since then it’s been pretty dry.
Meantime, the Town of Cornwall is asking residents to cut back on non-essential water usage for the next little while. The town’s water reserve is getting low after weeks of little rain in the hot, dry summer.
Non-essential things like washing vehicles and watering the line should be stopped until we get more rain.
