A leading bond-rating agency has reaffirmed Prince Edward Island’s rating as stable, saying the Island remains a good choice for potential investors.
The Dominion Bond Rating Service says the province’s economic outlook is positive and its fiscal outlook continues to improve.
The agency also cited P-E-I’s balanced operating budget, population growth and improved employment numbers.
Prince Edward Island’s economy expanded by 2.4 per cent in 2016, but the outlook for 2017 and 2018 suggests lower rates.
