The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating two separate but related and troubling incidents from this past Saturday.
The first one was in Stratford, where at about 1:30 in the afternoon, a man and woman entered a home and robbed the male resident. The victim was struck with a metal object and robbed of a quantity of cash. Police say the victim knew the female suspect, while the male suspect covered his face with a hoodie or bandana during the attack. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Then, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Saturday night, two men and a woman, entered a home in Borden-Carleton and assaulted several of the occupants. At least two of them were struck with a baseball bat. Again, some of the suspects were known to some of the victims of the attack. Two victims suffered minor injuries.
After some investigation by the RCMP, and with help from Summerside Police, three suspects were arrested in Summerside for the Borden-Carleton incident in Summerside.
The two men and one waoman are all from Summerside.
