The Toronto Blue Jays troubles continue. They lost 13-3 in Cleveland as Marco Estrada (4-7, 5.52 ERA) looked good for four innings but got lit up in the 5th for four runs. Cleveland added eight more in the 8th. The Jays are in last place in the A.L. East, 10 games behind the front running Red Sox. They also fall 6.5 out in the wildcard with nine teams in front of them.
Edwin Encarnacion homered and had four RBIs against his old team mates.
Toronto got more bad news. It looks like pitcher Aaron Sanchez is going back on the 10 day disabled list with another blister problem.
The Jays may be sellers by the trade deadline on July 31st but don’t expect a fire sale. Kansas City has shown interest in Estrada but the selling price may be low.
