An 11 year old boy struck by a vehicle while in a cross walk is back home after being airlifted to hospital in Halifax following the incident on Thursday evening in Summerside.
The boy was taken to the Prince County Hospital with serious injuries and the flown to Halifax.
He and his friend were in a crosswalk on Granville Street.
Traffic has stopped that was heading southbound but a vehicle with from Quebec failed to stop going northbound.
The first boy got through but the victim was hit by the vehicle driven by a 69 year old man.
Summerside Police have charged him with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
The investigation continues.
