The provincial government is investing $3.5 million to help expand the facilities at Sekisui Diagnostics in the West Royalty Business Park.
The announcement came Tuesday after a ribbon cutting ceremony on the just completed $6 million renovation.
PEI’s Minister of Economic Development and Tourism Heath MacDonald is pleased to see the expansion which he says is part of the growing success of the bio-science industry on the Island.
The company has employed 34 people since 2011.
The expansion will help with clinical diagnostic products that are in high demand worldwide and contribute to new exports for the company.
