It was a rough return for Aaron Sanchez (0-2 4.8.5 ERA) to the mound as the Houston Astros scored early and often in a 12-2 ripping of the Toronto Blue Jays. Sanchez allowed a home run to Carlos Correa in 1st followed by a 3 run shot by George Springer in the Astros 6 run 2nd. Springer hit another home run later in the game. The Jays fall 5 games out in the wild card chase. The Astros have 59 wins.
Dustin Pedroia smacked a 2 run homer in Boston’s 4 run 3rd and the Red Sox went on for an 8-3 win over Tampa Bay. Boston moves 4.5 upon the Yankees in the A.L. East.
Milwaukee overpowered the Yankees, 8-3. Jesus Aguilar hit a 2 run homer and a grand slam. Aaron Judge got his 30th home run passing the rookie record set by Joe DiMaggio.
Minnesota has agreed to sign veteran starter Bartolo Colon to a minor league contract. The Twins also came back from a 6-0 deficit to bounce Baltimore, 9-6.
