This year’s recipients of the Order of Prince Edward Island were announced Thursday by Lieutenant Governor Frank Lewis and the Order of Prince Edward Island Advisory Council.
They are Catherine Callbeck of Central Bedeque, Catherine Hennessey of Charlottetown and, James Clement MacAulay of St. Peters Bay
Callbeck of course is a former Premier, MP and Senator, and a leader in business.
Hennessey has been a champion of PEI’s heritage and culture for decades.
MacAulay is being recognized for his efforts as an educator and community leader.
The three were selected from a total of 53 Islanders nominated to receive the award this year.
A ceremony will be held in September at Government House.
