A 33 year old Charlottetown man has been arrested for aggravated assault, assault, uttering threats, breach of probation, and failure to comply with an existing undertaking.
The arrest stemmed from an incident Monday night, as Charlottetown Police got a call about an assault on St. Peter’s Rd.
Police were told by witnesses that a man had assaulted a 38 year old woman, and she was injured. The victim was taken to the Q.E.H. by Island EMS for treatment.
The suspect was jailed and will soon be appearing in Provincial Court.
Police say the two do know each other.
