The St. Dunstan’s Basilica Bells will ring for the first time in 40 years Saturday morning.
A St. Dunstan’s Basilica Bells Ceremony will be held at 9:30 in front of the Basilica.
The 18 bells, which date bac to 1928, were sent to South Carolina to be refurbished, tuned and rewired for playing. Work was done to put the supports in place for the bells to once again reside in the north tower with a new bell frame and mount.
The ceremony will see a number of dignitaries on hand including the Premier, Mayor and Bishop Grecco.
