A new, therapeutic, outdoor play space opened up Monday for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Pediatrics department.
It was made possible with a $50-thousand accessibility grant to the QEH Foundation from the federal government, and a matching gift through the QEH Foundation from TD.
The play space gives Island children living with chronic illness, permanent disabilities, and receiving cancer treatment, a place to relax, play, and be with family.
The play space includes a wheelchair accessible swing.
