Special Olympics PEI hosts its 2017 Special Olympics Festival Monday. Former NHL Coach Darryl Sutter will be one of the celebrities attending the event. Additional celebrities include Ottawa Senator’s Defenseman Dion Phaneuf, actress Elisha Cuthbert, former CFL player Andy Fantuz, and TV Personality and former host of Canada AM, Jeff Hutcheson. It’s hosted by TSN’s Gina Reda and PEI Special Olynmpics athlete Paul Phillips.

A strong showing for basketball PEI in Saint John at the East Coast Games. U17 Boys team won gold, U14 Girls silver and U14 Boys silver. U16 Boys went 2-and-1, with the only loss coming in the semi-final to Nova Scotia.
