Lawyers for Joel Lawrence Clow, the man charged with first-degree murder in the July 2015 death of Traci Lynch in Pleasant Grove, argue that he should be found guilty for the lesser crime of manslaughter.
In court, the defense acknowledged his physical acts were responsible for Lynch’s deat. However, the defence argued in written submissions filed with the court that the Crown failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt Clow had the specific intent to commit murder.
They say Clow was in such an advanced state of intoxication that he didn’t have the specific intent.
