On Sunday, more than 5,000 people took part in the IWK Run for Families on the Confederation Bridge as part of BridgeFest 150. Together, they raised more than $195,000 for the IWK Foundation and donations continue to pour in.
The IWK Run for Families attracted participants from every province in Canada, from 15 states in the USA, and from Germany and Australia.”
A part of BridgeFest 150, the IWK Run for Families was a unique chance for folks to walk or run across the Confederation Bridge while raising funds for the IWK Health Centre.
Michel Le Chasseur, General Manager of Strait Crossing, says BridgeFest 150 was a true success with the IWK Run for Families, the big show Saturday with Burton Cummings and Jimmy Rankin, and all the other events throughout the weekend.
