A rally was held in Stratford Monday outside the Public Schools Branch office, while there were student walkouts in Kinkora and Kensington.
The rally and walkouts were held to voice concerns regarding teacher allocations. Sudents were at the forefront in all the gatherings, concerned about the impact the teacher allocations will have on programs and electives available to them.
Last Friday, the Provincial Government did announce it was adding 27 new teaching positions. Parker Grimmer, Director of the Public Schools Branch, says the plan is to announce this week where those new teaching positions will be allocated. That word could come as soon as today.
